The new Sikh Temple at Woolgoolga is a strikingly beautiful building with a sweeping staircase leading up to the main halls. It follows the time-honoured traditions of Sikh architecture and is a cherished addition to the local community. However, for some the stairs presented  a problem and they needed an easier way to move up and down.

The solution was a modern Eastcoast elevator tucked unobtrusively below the stairs. Simple and practical in nature, it also reflects its spiritual setting but with a stunning mosaic-tiled floor befitting the temple's purpose.
